Allan does a tremendous job. I previously had cut my own hair for the last ~10 years or so, but was looking for something different. I was nervous about letting someone cut my hair bc quite frankly I just hadn’t had a good experience. Needless to say I’ve been back multiples times now and have only seen him due to quality of service!
I’ve been coming here to get haircuts by Jolie for almost a year now (I get infrequent cuts), and she’s done what I wanted every time; I’ve never had a barber that actually understood what I wanted and executed the way she did. She’s great, and she’s also funny and charming, so it’s always an enjoyable time. Plus the atmosphere of this location is always nice. I’m not really a leave-a-review kind of guy, but she 100% deserves a shoutout—she’s my favorite! I legit drive from 45 min away, and she’s totally worth it. I definitely would recommend Jolie to any friend, yet I’m also sure any and all of the barbers here really strive to help you get what you want 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Had decently long hair before coming here and I just asked for a little trim but to keep the length. I asked for half an inch off all around but now I have the equivalent of a number 4 buzz all around and about 2 in off the top and the next 2 months of my life ruined. Better find a nice hat to start wearing thanks guys.
I've been getting my haircut here for years. Minus one star for their new booking system that requires entering a tip to book your haircut. I'm happy to pay for the haircut in advance, but tips are for good service, and should not be preemptive.
Love American Haircuts in Midtown. My son is at GT and he and I randomly made an appointment one day to get our haircut back in Jan of 2022. Jolie cut our our hair and we’ve been going to her since. I actually drive 2.5 hours so that she can cut it. Jolie is legit! The staff is incredible.
I've been coming here to see Donald for a year and never had issues. Well, today I caught him on a bad day. He is usually quite chipper but today was not - and it showed in his work. He did not give me a mullet like I asked, not even close. But even worse the haircut is uneven. He didn't even take the time to get all the pieces of hair off my face. The whole cut was rushed. I asked for a fade on the sides - he faded my sideburns and that's it. Apparently seeing Donald is a gamble on his mood, if you come to this barber shop I recommend anyone else. $42 down the drain
Been going here 10 years and the last 2 or so I’ve been going to Jolie who is great! She gives me the exact haircut I want but definitely adds her expertise to make it great. Would highly recommend!
I’ve been getting Donald to cut my hair for a few months now & what’s great is when you can just give a minimal description of what you want “shorter, more professional looking” in my case & have the stylist just make it work, every time.
